Dear Esther

Dear Esther is a game recently released by thechineseroom. It is the one of the most visually astounding, atmospheric, and moving games I’ve played in a long time. There are no weapons, no items, and no interaction with the environment. You simply explore the environment and unfold the story. There is no play in this game, you are simultaneously inhabiting a painting and a poem, with a deeply resonating score.
