Another SpriteLamp sprite..

Yesterday I got early access to Sprite Lamp – a pixel-art lighting tool. You supply a few images and then it generates the appropriate normal map, AO map, etc. This makes me very enthusiastic about the future of low-res games, and hopefully we’ll see more with interesting lighting effects. Here’s a quick test of a lit shield I drew in GIMP and processed with SpriteLamp. :D

I’ve been struggling to sleep this last week. Sitting down in the lounge room until 3am I find myself sketching things — as a calming activity. Here’s some funny little guys:
